How to get more by promoting yourself less and doing more for others.

Networking is one of the most powerful marketing tools. Your network translates into your net worth. The opposite of networking is not working. Networking is a low cost but high return business building strategy. It can change your business development from cold calling to relationship selling and which is more powerful?  Seventy-five percent of all jobs are found through networking.

Yet most people don’t really know how to network. They treat it as a casual and passive activity and don’t maximize its benefits. Hank Blank will show you how to build a large and powerful network and how to capture the power of social networking to build your brand. Just Google Hank Blank to see.

Hank has spoken on networking to numerous AAF Chapters across the country and many other organizations such as AMA, PRSA, IABC etc.

He has also spoken to companies such as Jacuzzi, Sundance Spas, Volvo, and Sole Technology.

He has been featured on CBS Market Watch, The OC Register, and World Talk Radio.

Hank Blank covers the following topics in his powerful networking presentation:

  • What Networking Isn’t.
  • The Most Common Mistakes People Make in Networking and how to avoid them.
  • Benefits of Networking: Financial Currency, Social Currency, Enhancing your Value and Career Insurance.
  • How to build 1000 contacts in one year.
  • Where and How to Network.
  • How to follow up and how to stay top of mind with your networking contacts and have people thinking of you first.

At the Ag Museum: Park near the Sports Hall of Fame, walk across the bridge, and the Masonic Lodge is just past the Blacksmith Shop and the Filling Station. A map of the museum site is available here.

“Tough Talk for Tough Times” presented by Mississippi author and business consultant, Nancy Anderson

When Nancy Anderson was 32 years old, her 34-year-old husband died following a lengthy battle with cancer, leaving her to raise a nine-year-old daughter alone. As Nancy says, “I had a rough decade…but there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
A native of Laurel, Mississippi, Nancy earned a degree in biology from Mississippi College. Afterwards, she worked in labs in the metro Jackson area, but when her daughter entered kindergarten, Nancy wanted to do something different. She worked for a temporary staffing agency and eventually managed the back office for a well-known investment counselor. While she was working part-time on an MBA at Mississippi College and had passed one level of the Chartered Financial Analyst certification process, she decided to start her own business. She started New Perspectives, Inc., in Clinton and has since become an incredible success.
Nancy will be here to give us insight into money, investing and empowerment. You will be able to purchase and have Nancy autograph her new book, too. This is sure to be a great meeting offering a wealth of insight to all of us.

RSVP before noon Monday, January 18, to mary@frontier.ms or aafjackson@gmail.com to be sure you have a place to sit and food to eat.
